Here Are 9 Warning Signs You Have Blocked Arteries

Plaques that build up on the walls of your arteries slowly impede blood flow. If this process is not stopped, the end result could be a stroke or heart attack.

High cholesterol and foods high in saturated fat are only part of the problem. Lack of enough physical activity and an unhealthy lifestyle are also culprits for clogged arteries. Genetic factors also play an important role.

Here are some signs that you can conclude that your arteries are clogged and they need your help.

Pain in the legs. If you are experiencing more pain in your legs, they seem to be more tired than usual when walking, this may be a sign of clogged arteries.

Dyspnea. Shortness of breath when walking or even minimal physical work indicates that there are problems with the coronary circulation.

Severe headaches. If you get severe unexplained headaches, they may be a sign of clogged arteries.

Erectile disfunction. Surprisingly, erectile dysfunction can be a sign of clogged arteries, as blood flow to the penis is reduced due to the poor condition of the arteries in the legs.

Cold feet. If the blocked artery is in a lower limb, you may notice that your feet are colder than usual.

Back pain. Chronic low back pain is often an early warning sign of clogged arteries.

Difficulty maintaining balance. If the carotid artery is clogged, you may begin to experience dizziness and frequent loss of balance.

Tension in the jaw. The symptoms in women often differ from those in men. According to Everyday Health magazine, women may notice a “feeling of tightness in the jaw”.

Fatigue. Another warning sign for women is inexplicable, completely groundless fatigue.
